" Two Grassy Plains Shepherds were arrested today however their attacks on buildings and fences have managed to shut down the beef industry, at least temporarily. One representative for a major fast food network has said that the popular dollar cheeseburger will now cost 4.95 and the half pound angus burger will also be driven up in price, he did however state that "Financing will be available to qualified customers

The Plains Shepherds so far have not harmed any personnel of the beef industry permanently, they did however carpet bomb Hereford Texas, also known as the beef capital, with 142 gallons of concentrated Skunk musk. This action and the burning of several barns and the tearing down of over 170 yards of fencing has caused the Texas Sheriffs department to label them as terrorist. "It just ain't right" says Sheriff Butterbump, "These folks are just trying to make a living here and these hindus come over trying to impose their beliefs on our industry".

But Sarah Palinton, an undergrad from the University of Southern California, has a different take on things. "The cruel treatment of these gentle creatures has got to stop, we have proven cows can feel pain.....who are we that we can so crudely value their bodies at a dollar a burger? They are worth at least two."

The Republican Governor has so far deferred to the authorities in this matter he did however make a statement that the mostly foreign Plains Shepherds should "Respect our cultural sensitivity, eating beef has a long cultural history in the United States" "

    Shepherds stop farming

Why is pain such an important factor in determining if we can eat something or not for those people?

I know, right? So what? It's going to be dead anyway, that means it'll feed people and it'll never feel any pain ever again, those cows would feel honored.

While you are building this fictional person, make her super hot, a TRIPLE agent working for an alien species coming to harvest humanity, and secretly a meat eater. Or something.

Jesus PTH, I like to leave certain things to the imagination....I mean obviously she has a deep desire to actually eat meat but she works that out of her system by having an overactive libido and practicing various forms of extreme yoga...but we must leave something to the imagination after all.

I have no idea why I posted that, I was reading the linked article and it got me thinking, what if this was some other culture coming to stop us from doing our animal killing things...how would we react? You know if we were the whalers and japan was the environmentalist we would have a damn aegis cruiser accompany the whaling ships. Or if we had hindu's burning down cow farms texans would literally be shooting them dead.

if you can justify murder by your desires, what else can you rationalize?

Why make sure a fuss about meat, but not plants? Drawing a line because it has a face? Seems arbitrary.

Everyone rationalizes everything by their desires. It's pretty simple. Vegetarians rationalize denouncing meat eating becauase they desire a world without it, I rationalize learning the guitar because I desire a fun hobby, fire fighters ratioinalize risking their lives because the desire to do something they deem good.

    What's your point?
