Dr Mabus should be jailed POLL

I really think there should be a request or some type of action taken against the incredibly offensive and threatening content of his posts. I think there should be something more done than a simple bann. He has made relatively clear death threats on numerous occassions. He is no longer a troll, people, he is a terrorist.

I left voting open for all, including the banned and the jailed for those who were wondering. And what a crock.

He is jailed all the time but he comes in on a new IP number. I did say that TAA should put Noobs on a 5 post moderated trial before they appear, but as usual the local genius aka the evil clown is not heeded.

He's not going to be jailed. Constantly trolling internet forums is not a punishable offense, especially if they're atheist forums. That would be like the government arresting a middle-class white man for trolling a forum for gay African American socialists. It doesn't make any sense.

And there's no point in banning him. He's been banned countless times before, but he comes back with a new name with a new IP. It's pointless.

Just let him be. Ignore his posts. That's all there is to it. We shouldn't even be having this poll because it's just giving him more attention.

I was on a forum, and I think legal action was taken against someone who hacked the forum. So, maybe there's some degree of power. I mean, he's kind of like a stalker, isn't he?

However, granted, I have not been around for very long, but I do not fear for my life as a member of this forum. I experience very little negative effect personally from his constant reappearance. I do not feel that he should be jailed. I didn't vote in the poll, though, since I'm pretty uneducated about the whole thing.

Whether you feel threatened or not, it is illegal to make death threats which he has done on numerous occassions. If it was someone in your town making the same threats, would you feel just as safe? In reality you don't know how crazy he is and if he is not actually wanting to live out the threats he has made. For all you know he sits in a room all day that has pictures of atheists all over the walls covered with drawings of knives and guns in red highlights. I am just saying, he is obviously already far gone, we have no idea how far.

VFX, people tend to enter the forum dumber than they leave, so it wouldn't be fair to screen new members for the first five posts. What would be fair is not letting people who come on the forum be threatened to be killed.

He hasn't made any "death threats"

Obviously Mr. Mabus, who has never been convicted of any crime in the great nation of Canada, was speaking figuratively and dare I say intellectually. I will cut off your heads...means no more than I will cut off your ideas with the power of my analytical argument. "I will bury you" is a common term for showing someone the error of their ways, for a statement of victory, or just in everyday talk and in no ways implies an actual death threat...would this court want us to jail every NHL and Soccer player who threatens to bury the other team?

In truth Mr Mabus had no possible means of even finding these....atheists.....making the idea that these were genuine threats preposterous. Would you silence every form of debate by sentencing this man for taking his position and speaking openly about it? I think not.

Which powerful analytical arguments are we speaking of? He posts a bunch of crap and then talks about how all of us should die! Just because we are not easy to find does not mean that he should have the right to be violent. I have seen very little intelligent debating going paired with "die, fuckers!" or "The bomb has already been dropped" or shit like that. Sorry, it is different than saying "I will rip your argument to shreds" or "PWNed".

VenomFangXEveryone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

And how would the newbie's posts be responded to if the posts are not visible? ;)

I would suggest a more traditional method of requiring X number of posts before being able to post a thread of their own.

he hasn't actually been violent....even if what he did was a death threat that is not violence...its a threat of violence.

A threat of violence is illegal where I am from, don't know about internet or wherever you live. It is not the same thing as free speech you know. A threat is not an opinion. Actually he would have had to say "I want to kill you all" or "I think you all should die" for it to be any type of opinion.

I was talking about taking legal action. These were your arguments against them.

No one was speaking of screening the posts for intelligence but for the fact that they are not Mabus kind of posts or advertising etc: to determine if they are legitimate users.
