i like firefox best, but now im using IE cuz this is my school laptop that they gave me, and i cant install anything on it :[

Easy. It's called the bookmarks toolbar. It's in your tools/settings menu (the wrench). There will be a checkbox that says "Always show the bookmarks bar".

If you want to bookmark something, merely press the star next to the address bar and it's automatically added.

The toolbar is however worse than that of FF. FF has its toolbar on the left and you can see loads of bookmarks at the same time. Now I may just be too stupid to use chrome but I can only get a max of 8 bookmarks to show up at once. To add a Bookmarks button Chrome's toolbar, you would use the command line switch -bookmark- menu. The full path in the Target field would then read:

C:\Users \[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Applications\chrome.exe -bookmark-menu

Just edit your shortcut to have the -bookmark-menu switch and you'll have a button you can click to see all of your bookmarks.Death is life's way of telling you that you've been fired.

Nono I DO have a button on the side that says "all bookmarks" but it isn't anywhere as practical as the FF bookmarks sidebar.

The modification I told you about makes a new button (not within the bookmark bar) that acts like a "favorites" menu. As for a sidebar (which is what this sounds like you want), there are extensions available for the browser and you may be able to find one. Being a part-time web developer, i have everything from IE6 to Opera 10 on my machine, all are stuck to my task bar for quick access (windows 7). I run Chrome cause it's the fastest, lightest, best organization( IMO ), takes up much less screen space than the others, and (most importantly) works with my dual monitors the smoothest (only recently was tab-drag-drop added to FF). Also, it has the best thread management which makes a difference when you have 4 cores :D

oh and i could care less about add-ons, but if that's something your in to i can see why FF would be the best options. Web pages are about news and information, so any browser should be fine... beside the cancer that is IE.... i know Akuta... i know... ;-)

ps. I thought i was the only super-geek here with 8 gigs of ram.... =(

how many bookmarks do u need?
and how hard is it to click bookmarks?
also you can import all those things yknow, so makes it easy as.

Frankly once i imported it all from firefox it works out fine.Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned.

1) I have eight (8) really important bookmarks (ones that I check every time I'm on) and about 30 other bookmarks that I need every other day. That's why the FF bookmark bar is better for me. Yes I do click the "Other Bookmarks" button and just go down in the list but...

Explorer is perfectly funtional, why waste time with all of these other browsers?

Well the law changes from state to state. Usually it's fine if both are under 18 as long as there is less than a 5-4 year gap in age.
Also, there is the difference between how a law is written, and how a law is enforced. There can be quite the disparity.

We're cracking down on that shit because it is perceived to be linked with paedophilia. It is regarded as being in the same category of image as pictures of real child abuse, and it is thought by the general public that such images can 'encourage' paedophilia. I don't think that's true, but frankly I don't care.

It's fine for us (at least legally - socially people would mostly not be fine with it at all) for young ones to 'explore their emerging urges' with one another, but definately not okay at all for adults to join them... EVLWNS, whaaaa, they say that pedo porn encourages IRL child rape?

Not like I think loli or shota are these great things or something, but that logic is stupid, its like saying that playing GTA will encourage you to kill random people and shoot at polic and crap. It seems to me that this particular brand of manga is just a victimless way of getting off, for someone will younger-than-puberty taste. I can understand not being allowed to actually screw kids, that makes sense, but stifling someone's sexual urges to that extent will probably make them go nuts.

I sure hope I don't sound crazy right now.

Australia does seem to have a penchant for legislating based on assumptions or common beliefs. Their war on violent video games is popular, and now it seems pornography. Do they honestly think violence and sexual urges never occured before video games and cameras were invented?

Well, actually, many of my countrymen and women DO believe quite strongly that playing games like GTA causes increased aggression and violence, just like you said. It's one reason why some games get banned and why we don't have an R-18 classification that would allow them in. Yet.
