Posted By: InfernoHey nublet: Try using Firefox, it has a "spell check" function. (That's why my texts are usually without mistakes...)

It's not foolproof.

Posted By: AkutaAlso, Inferno, I do not agree with your little image there. ;) I think you might want to take a look at the time that the image was created... I'm guessing it was likely when Chrome was in beta.Death is life's way of telling you that you've been fired.
Posted By: InfernoI know that it was made ages ago but parts of it still apply. IE is still easily infected and Safari/Firefox/Opera are IMHO still the best browsers. I have to admit that I've never even tried Chrome though.
Posted By: AkutaOh come on... you know the image was made by a Firefox-anti-MS fanboy. Let's not pretend it wasn't. lol
Posted By: AkutaWhy not add "Firefox : Is the girl that everyone has because everyone else has had her."
Posted By: AkutaOr "Opera : She used to charge you, but now she's free so jump on the truck and let's go visit her."
Posted By: AkutaOr "Safari : Sure, you have to pay two thousand dollars to get access to her, and her maintenance is expensive, but it's a smooth ride from there."
Posted By: InfernoFF isn't the optimum, but it's close.
Posted By: InfernoPosted By: AkutaOr "Opera : She used to charge you, but now she's free so jump on the truck and let's go visit her."
They charged you for Opera? I've never paid a single $ for it.
Posted By: ProletariatTreeHugerChrome replaced Firefox for me as well. Google is slowly taking over the world. I'm just waiting for them to buy out Microsoft now.

Posted By: InfernoWait, WHAT? Are you making this shit up? I DL her, from the official site. For Free.
Posted By: InfernoAnyway, I don't like IE because
1) Unsafe.
2) Not many gadgets.
3) Crap layout.
FF isn't the optimum, but it's close.
Posted By: Akutait's a HELL of a lot faster now that Firefox
Posted By: Akutaallowing add-ons that "phone home"
Posted By: FackelDerAufklärungFaster in what respect? Starting time? Firefox is always running on my machines, so I don't care. I have a close-to-tray-addon installed :) Somehow I have to fill my 8GB of RAM ;)
Siteload times?
I don't care if Chrome renders 4ms faster, I care for the functionality my browser gives me. With Chrome I would have to start persoanlizing all over again, and I just don't see any use for me.
Posted By: FackelDerAufklärungIt's true that addons are a potential back-door for malware, and I am truly astounded that there wasn't a big succesful scam using it. And I have to wonder what is per se bad in allowing addons to phone home? It's necessary to allow services like Weave to work.
Posted By: InfernoFF isn't the optimum, but it's close.
Posted By: Akutait's not a matter of milliseconds.
Posted By: AkutaHad they thought a bit more thoroughly, they would have made it so the only way they could access something externally was to go through a special API which would allow the user to control which add-ons had access and which do not...
Posted By: FackelDerAufklärungThen maybe your machine is too blame ;)
Posted By: FackelDerAufklärungThis indeed is a good idea.
Posted By: AkutaPosted By: FackelDerAufklärungThen maybe your machine is too blame ;)
I hardly would believe that a system with a 3GB dual core processor and 8GB of ram "is to blame"...
That aside, I think you're still a fanboy.HELL YEAH!The fear of death arises from the false belief that in death there is awareness.
Posted By: InfernoOK I tried Chrome now and although it DOES seem to be a bit faster, I would NOT use it. It is indeed like Chrome: cold and lifeless. It's not pretty enough. I like performance AND layout and Chrome gets a layout rating of 1. At the most.
I still like FF and Opera + for some tasks Safari best.
